How to Report Fraud, Junk, and spam Emails

EarthLink members can report spam and email fraud to EarthLink so that we can investigate and take legal action if necessary.

Why Should I Report Suspicious Email?

Please contact EarthLink’s Fraud and Abuse Departments and report unsolicited or suspicious emails that you have received. EarthLink will investigate each report and will take appropriate action to block access to fraudulent Web sites, stop Internet spammers, and help our customers avoid Internet scams and have an enjoyable, hassle-free Internet experience.

What is spam?

"spam" is the common term for junk email, usually advertising to promote products or services, that is sent to people without their permission. To learn more about how to avoid spam with EarthLink's spamBlocker, click here.

What is Email Fraud?

Fraudulent, or "phisher", emails are seemingly legitimate emails that ask the email recipient to provide personal and/or financial information via email or the Web in an effort to steal that information for illegal purposes. Reporting Fraud Emails

If you receive a suspicious or potentially fraudulent email, please submit the email, with full header information, to EarthLink's Fraud Department through EarthLink's Web Submission Form, which includes instructions on how to retrieve and submit emails with full header information for your Email client.

Reporting spam Emails

If you receive an unsolicited, or junk, email, please submit the email with full header information to EarthLink's Abuse Department through EarthLink's Web Submission Form, which includes instructions on how to retrieve and submit emails with full header information for your Email client.
