Follow the steps below to set up the Mac OS X Network Panel for DHCP.

How to Set Up the Mac OS X Network Panel for DHCP

From the Apple menu, choose System Preferences.
Click the Network icon.
Click the arrow box on the Location pop-up list and choose New Location.
In the Name your new location field, type a name to identify this location.
Click the OK button.
Click the arrow box on the Show pop-up list and choose Built-in Ethernet.
Click the arrow box on the Configure pop-up list and choose Using DHCP.
Click the Apply Now button.
