For your safety and security, some web pages now require 128-bit
encryption technology in your web browser. EarthLink requires
128-bit encryption on Webmail, My Account, and all other secure
web sites. All current versions of common web browsers already
include 128-bit encryption automatically, and no changes will be
necessary. Some older browsers will need to be upgraded to work
properly.
If you have any of the following browsers, you are using the one
of the latest browser versions available and do not need to go
any further:
-
Windows
-
Internet Explorer 6
-
Netscape 6 or 7
-
Macintosh
-
Safari
-
Netscape 7
-
Internet Explorer 5.1.6 or newer
The EarthLink 5.0 browser does NOT support 128-bit encryption.
Customers still using this browser should take this opportunity
to upgrade to TotalAccess 2005 by clicking here,
or using another browser such as Internet Explorer or
Netscape.
The articles presented below will help you check to see if your
web browser is 128-bit encryption compliant, and explain how to
upgrade if necessary. If an update is necessary, the preferred
method is simply to upgrade your browser to the latest version
available, such as Internet Explorer 6 or Netscape 7.1.
Some users with older computers may find that their computer does
not meet minimum system requirements for these browsers. In that
case, installing the 128-bit encryption patch to your current
browser may fix the problem. Please note that this is not a
guaranteed solution, as other compatibility problems may prevent
the patch from working properly.
