Setting Up the Linksys BEFW11S4 Wireless Router for EarthLink DSL

Using a browser, type http://192.168.1.1 in the address or location field.
Press the Enter key on your keyboard.

Note: If the password screen doesn't apprear after you click enter, restart your computer. If you still can't get to the password screen after you restart, click here to set up your network control panel to DHCP.

Note: If you have EarthLink Parental Controls installed you will not be able to access the setup page. For instructions on how to remove EarthLink Parental Controls click here. Once you have set up the router, you can reinstall EarthLink Parental Controls .
In the Password field, type the router password that you entered when you first set it up.
Note: Leave the username portion blank. Enter only the password for the router.
Click the OK button.
Click the down arrow on the WAN Connection Type drop-down list and choose PPPoE.
Note: If you are not planning on connecting wireless devices to your network, select the disable radio button to the right of the word Wireless.
In the User Name field, type your full EarthLink email address (e.g. johndoe@earthlink.net).
In the Password field, type your EarthLink email password.
Click the Apply button.
The router settings will now attempt to change.
If you are going to use the wireless feature, click here to set up WEP encryption on your Wireless-B network.
