Changing a UHP Modem from PPPoE Mode to Bridged Mode
  • Article ID: 3351
  • Last modified date: Mon Jan 29 16:58 2007

Follow these instructions to change your UHP modem to Bridged Mode and disable DHCP/NAT/PPPoE.

Requirements

When the built-in PPPoE is disabled in the UHP, you will require a PPPoE client on the host computer unless you are using EarthLink Home Networking. PPPoE clients for Windows or Mac may be obtained by clicking here. When using Home Networking, PPPoE will be the responsibility of the Linksys router that sits between your computer and the UHP modem.

Changing a UHP Modem from PPPoE Mode to Bridged Mode
  1. In the Address or URL field of your browser, type http://172.16.0.254/config.

  2. Press the Enter key on your keyboard.
