EarthLink 5 - Configuring for Home Networking (DHCP)

You can set EarthLink 5 for Home Networking (DHCP) by adding a location to the EarthLink 5 configuration.

How to configure EarthLink 5 for Home Networking (DHCP)
  1. Open EarthLink 5.0.

  2. Click the Configure button.

  3. Click the Manage Locations button.

  4. Click the Add Location button.

  5. Select Other.
  6. In the field, type Home Network.
  7. Click the Next button.

  8. Choose your Network Interface Card (NIC) from the list.
  9. Click the Next button.

  10. Click the Finish button.

    Note: Verify that the Use PPPOE (For EarthLink DSL only) box is not checked.

  11. Click the OK button.

    Note: A new location entry for Home Network will appear and it will be set as the default location.
